I remember watching Training Day for the first time and thinking why on earth did Denzel Washington win and Oscar? Ive justwatched it for the third time and now i fully appreciate why, the performance is great and he works so well of his surroundings and the fellow cast members. It's a really good movie filled with a great story, good acting and great finale.

in a city where streets are overrun by drug dealers, those who have sworn to uphold the law are breaking it. denzel washington plays l.a.p.d. detective alonzo harris, a veteran narcotics officer whose methods of enforcing the law are corrupt. training day follows harris as he trains rookie jake hoyt (ethan hawke) over a period of 24 hours. denzel washington - simply brilliant! no other words can describe this masterpiece...

"antoine fuckyeah!!!" who delivered us shooter, king arthur and tears of the sun directs another solid piece of work with training day. it's like an old fashioned thriller but modern. denzel was on fire and hawke wasn't far behind. i honestly enjoyed watching this as much as the first times i'd watched films such as l.a. confidential or seven. yes,... really great film
