Anyone else want to negotiate
This is a bizarre sci-fi comedy. It's like a story from the magazine "Heavy Metal". It's very cartoonish but with lots of action. Bruce Willis plays a cab driver in a New York set 300 years in the future. He was a former special operations military guy. An alien is sent to earth to save the planet from an evil ball of fire and the alien just happens to be a beautiful young girl. While fleeing from the military scientist who put her back together she falls into a flying cab driven by Bruce Willis. They join up and go to another planet where they fight some alien pirates and retrieve four stones needed to save the world. There is lot's of action, lots of jokes and lots of strange characters. The best line is after he shoots the leader of the pirates Bruce Willis says, "Anyone else want to negotiate?" I saw it first on a VHS tape I rented. The DVD is better, the sound is better on the DVD. It's a fun movie and worth watching. -

I adored Bruce Willis, Gary Oldman as the comic bad guy, chris tucker make me laugh a lot with his"Greeny" stuff and Milla, well I hate her, too damn beutiful, I loved her character. I think it is very original and I liked the future reality, still with taxis and Mcdonald's I loved it.

It's a good flick, with rather nice colourful effects, and has a good point, I guess...
Cute and funny old-style sci-fi, but a bit unoriginal at some points. It's very amusing, and eventually explores the topic of whether we, as a human race, deserve to be saved after bringing only destruction, lack of caring for stuff that matter and malice to this world. -

Time hasn't been kind to this.
At the time, this was a joy; big and bright and quite simply a big ball of fun. Performances were over the top, explosions were big and the dangers are universal and the ultimate hero is er.... God?
Totally overblown but that's the whole point of it, that and having the (at the time) Mrs Luc Besson looking sexy. -

Bruce Willis wins my vote as the most unlikely hero you'd like to have at your back. Not handsome, but with a charm that, if it's not really him, should be, Willis brings a humanity and sense of humor to a world which is overblown and takes itself for granted. You gotta see this one.

this film was so funny! if the future is going to be like this i hope i surive to see it :)
i thought that all the actors, who usually play rather serious part were very good in this movie, but as per brus willis played his tipical role of the unexspected cocky hero, well he is usually good at it!
chris tucker was amazing in his role, was a bit hard to make out what he was saying at times but i think that added to the humour!

The acting was intense, yet the best part of the film was the setting, beautifully coloured, artistic and gothically amusing at the same time.
The worst thing, which made the film suffer is that the sequences cut, due to the limit of time? Maybe.
Also, Tucker was hilarious xD

I loved this movie, and I Had fun with this movie also. Bruce is once again charming and the come what may hero. Tucker screamed like a woman, gut bustingly funny! Mila is beautiful and strong. Odd couple? Nope, it has a good combinattion of commedt, drama, music, costume, and grapgics.

This film is just amazing, it has action and comedy and Bruce Willis. I didn't think much of this at first but i watched it properly and i thought it was brilliant. My only problem is with Chris Tucker.

Easily one of the most underrated movie of all times and to simply put it, The Fifth Element is one of the most brilliant sci-fi movies with Bruce Willis playing a fuckin incredible lead.

The story of the movie is fantastic.
Visual effects is very good.
Bruce Willis, Milla Jovovich, Gary Oldman, Chris Tucker, Ian Holm did a great job.

It looked good in the previews, but basically it sucked. To catch it on cable it might be worth it, but if you waste(d) your money renting it or seeing it in the theater, then I just can't help but feel bad for you.

This is the movie that has everything.
Chase Scenes, Action Scenes, Alien Woman being made by big machine scenes (who just happens to be insanly HOT!) And even a sex scene, right at the end when you think the movie couldn't get better! An epic battle of good an evil, and directed to perfection by Besson. Also the costume design by Jean Paul Gautier is fantastic.posted 767 days ago
