Plot: Although most of the characters from the popular Street Fighter II video game make cameos in this animated film, four young favorites -- tough-guy Ryu, rich-kid Ken, bad-boy Guile and boy-toy Chun Li ...( read more read more... )-- take center stage to bring down the evil Bison, who has plans to destroy the world. Plenty of fast-action fight sequences keep this movie plugging along. But while it's animated, it's not child's play.

I'm a huge fan of the video game, and this is a great insight to the backgrounds of each character. The animation is great with a decent story to compliment it. A must see for all SF II fans.

Where do we start...? Well, it had above average animation and music, but the story was a little on the retarded side. It seemed the movie was directed towards a young audience, despite minor language and violence. Of course all characters made a little more than a cameo appearance, which actually pulled away from my overall rating. Maybe a couple more movies like this one with different, extended fights from different characters would prove...entertaining.

If only the live action movie was ever close to this. If it was done exactly like this, it would still suck. Regardless, the battles and half-plot played well for what you were recieving as a animaed spin-oof of the video game.

This is a very decent way to make a movie with videogames characters.

At least is much better than the horrible Van Damme's version.

The very definition of high quality anime. The fight between Vega and Chun Li is one of the best fight scenes ever, if not one of the best animated fight scenes. You can't call yourself a Street Fighter fan until you've seen the animes. Even though between this, Alpha, Generations and the animated series, the plot is so twisted we might as well toss out any idea of a semblence of a plot. It's all about the fights, and this is where this movie stands out.
