I wasn't sure I would like this because I couldn't see Will Ferrell in a serious role, but this was a good movie.

Will Ferrell stars as Harold Crick, an IRS auditor who doesn't have an interesting life.
However, when he begins hering his life narrated in his head by a female voice, he begins to believe that he is involved in a story.
Terror fills him when he hears the narrator state that he is soon going to die.
A brilliantly told tale centred around the life of Harold Crick.
Costarring Maggie Gyllenhaal as the potential lover and Emma Thompson with Dustin hoffman and Queen Latifah, the cast is brilliant. Ferrell is amazing in the calmer role.
A clever story, great cast and a brilliantly written script, 'Stranger Than Fiction' is a very enjoyable watch.

An IRS Auditor Has His Life Interrupted By The Sound of A Personal Narrator Who Knows His Every Thought, Feeling, And Action, Including When And Where He Will Die.*

Stranger Than Fiction Is A Unique And Original Comedy From Director Marc Forster. The Story Is Brilliantly Constructed And The Performances Really Bring This Film To Life. Zack Helm's Script Is Smart And Witty. Will Ferrell Delivers The Best Performance of His Career, He Has Definitely Shown That He Is Capable of More Serious And Thoughtful Work. Dustin Hoffman And Maggie Gyllenhaal Give Phenomenal Supporting Performances. I Greatly Admire Marc Forster's Work As A Filmmaker And This Is One of His Best Films. Stranger Than Fiction Is A Brilliantly Crafted And Beautifully Acted Comedy With An Original Premise. What I Love About This Film Is How Different It Is From Other Films. I Really Havent Seen Anything Quite Like It. The Film Is Visually Nice To Look At And The Script Is Witty And Original. Will Ferrell Has Shown Us That He Can Easily Escape His Wacky, Cartoonish Image And Become Something More. Marc Forster Is One of The Greatest Filmmakers Around And Has Crafted A Masterwork. Stranger Than Fiction Is A Superb Work of Pure Genius. Brilliant In All Aspects. Its Nearly Impossible To Describe The Pure Brilliance of This Film. A Classic Comedy. Genius Filmmaking. A Phenomenal, Incredible Achievement. Stranger Than Fiction Is Brilliant.*

"The only way to find out what story you're in is to determine what stories you're not in. Odd as it may seem, I've just ruled out half of Greek literature, seven fairy tales, ten Chinese fables, and determined conclusively that you are not King Hamlet, Scout Finch, Miss Marple, Frankenstein's Monster, or a golem. Hmm? Aren't you relieved to know you're not a golem?"*

I just love the unusual surmise. I've seen movies before than look at the relationship between an author and the subsequent 'killing off' of the protagonist, but this was interesting because it was portrayed as being so very real.

I loved seeing Will play a more serious character. The scene where he cries is heartbreaking! It proves what a great actor he is.

    I really liked this movie.

I bet the reason alot of people didn't like it is because they went to expecting it be another "dumb humor" kind of movie, and it's just NOT. There is more to this movie than just humor, and I guess some people can't appreciate that, especially when that is what they were expecting.
