Beautiful, heartfelt film. Julia Roberts and the whole of the cast are stunningly brilliant, but the film itself is overly soppy, sentimental and obvious.

Best 'made for females' comedy. This movie is absolutely hilarious! but with it's heartfelt moments, rounds out to become the perfect movie when you need something to pick you up. You'll laugh and cry, but enjoy everything about it.

Sally Field's performance was memorable, probably her best one yet, julia roberts is outstanding, combined with a great story and great supporting actresses makes this one of the bestmovies of the 80s.

The most intense scene is when Sally Field is in the cemetary screaming about losing her daughter. It is very sad. But she said later life goes on.
