MCT:November 17, 2008I've been a fan of Splash since childhood, but it's only joined the ranks as an all-time favourite recently. As an adult, I can appreciate how perfect it is as a comedy, drama, romance, and fantasy, while still maintaining a realistic, modern New York feel, which helps appeal to both my grown-up sensibilities and my childlike approach to storytelling. The casting is perfect. In retrospect, I especially love how this was made with a tiny budget and ended up a huge hit.

MCT:November 15, 2008this is one of the first movies with tom hanks that i remember watching. i totally loved it. lovely story....love and humour. to think that this movie is older than me!!! i would def watch it again.

MCT:November 1, 2008Young Allen Bauer (David Kreps) doesn't know how to swim is rescued from drowning off Cape Cod by a young mermaid named Madison (Shayla Mackarvich). Allen falls in love with Madison is not knowing Madison is a mermaid requites his love.
Dr. Walter Kornbluth (Eugene Levy) is proving Madison is a mermaid by dumping water on her & turning her legs into a tail is taken in by scientists for exam when Allen has fallen in love with a fish is actually mermaid is imprisoned in the lab. Madison reveals to Allen can survive underwater as long as he is with her when Allen realizes Madison was a young mermaid he met so long ago in the underwater kingdom. -

it is on right now at channel five, but there is also a football match. some cray ppl in my family are being mean and not letting me watch it. is is that nice?
