2 and a half only cuz it's Spidey. but i should subtract points for overkill and i don't mean Blitz and the boyz. again, too much. Sandman and new Goblin was enough.

Excellent movie and plot. But too many villians to focus on and that takes away from it a little bit. But still excellent.

Amazing, Spectacular & Sensational!!! This movie tops 1 & 2 and it ties up the two nicely. Having 3 villains in this movie did not make things "hard to follow". It was done with a fantastic flair! I thought having Gwen Stacey and her father Captain Stacey in this movie was a nice touch. For those that don't follow the comic books Gwen was Peter's 1st love and she was also the person that Green Goblin dangled from the New York Bridge and asked Spidey to make the "decisions that heroes have to make". That is when Gwen Died and Peter pursued MJ (the unattainable girl). In the movies they mixed the two characters into one (MJ) and now bam! there's Gwen Stacey in the mix causing Jealousy and everything. New Goblin wasn't as bad as I imagined. Sandman was done well. Venom was great. I thought they could have worked on a few things that I won't mention due to spoiling the movie. I could have done without the constant "showing of the faces" they did. But that's hollywood and you have to deal with it. In all, I loved this movie and I can't wait for it to come out on DVD so that I can watch it all the time.

this is another disappointment, what the hell was that???, sam raimi has just violated the spirit of spidey making a very bad tobey maguire, not a bad peter parker, Venom appears like a bumper sticker, like just another extra, and the drama MJ-Peter looks like a stupid soap opera, for me this is the worst of the Spiderman movies, and a confusing wasting of CG efects, like if is an obligation make only three movies and the last one has to have alll the wasted ideas (oh lets make something like the sandman killing ben and then show that he didnt do it! (aaaarrrrgghhhh!)) making something like a emesis maker, and i'm very pissed off with that shit, but the new goblin and mj can save some moments, still with that crap im a fan so i can enjoy those little moments

The series has gone way down hill. This movie just seems like a money grab with not alot of effort put into it. There are some people that will like this but i hate them for encouraging filmakers to keep making this shit

The best marvel and spider-man movie yet. Lots of action. Not too much love in it then the 2nd. Great special effects. It has great/outstanding actors that keep you entertained throughout.

The 3rd sequel takes place where Peter Parker, (Tobey Maguire) and the beautiful Mary Jane Watson, (Kirsten Dunst) is on a date. Peter, finally proposes to Mary Jane. As They are going to start and share a life of happiness together, a strange black entity; AKA Venom thats from another world interveins. As he is heading back home on his moped scooter he runs into his best friend Harry Osborn, ( James Franco) thats been wanting to kill Peter for his father's death. After, he takes out Harry and injure's him by putting him in the hospital for months cause of memory loss, Peter starts back home. When Peter gets home and sleep's the black entity bonds with him. As the black entity is bonding with Peter, it causes inner turmoil; which gives Peter more superhuman strength that he could ever ask for. As Peter is wearing the balck entity, that's attached to his spider-man suit he begans to turn into something that's corruptable. It so happens that their is a new villain on the streets. The Sandman, who once was a convict Flint Marko, (Thomas Haden Church) is corrupting the city. Once, Peter finally relizes where the crime has been coming from in the streets, he begins to search for the villian. The black entity thats in Peter, is telling him to be corruptabe by wanting to kill any villian that's disturbing the civilians. Peter, is a hero to the city. not a villian. So, he needs to get off the addiction of wearing the black entity, before it kills spider-man and Peter.

It has such an amazing story with great suspense. It has one of the best sequences of intense action/violence ive ever seen in a movie; especially coming from marvel. Im definietly getting this when it comes out on dvd. Thats A Fact!!!

First off seeing the Sandman on the big screen is amazing!! I almost pulled my junk out to give it a couple strokes when he first appeared in Sandman form! His first steps as the Sandman are without a doubt one of the finest moments in cinematic history!
The first hour or so of Spider man 3 are some of the best moments in the whole trilogy. His first fight with the Sandman, the whole fight between him and Harry. It was all perfect.
But really for me the only real losing moment came when Parker went to M.J.'s work and played piano. That was truelly uninspired. I could take the M.J. song numbers and the whole funky strut sequence...but c'mon Raimi what the hell was that!!!
That aside, Spider-Man 3 is every bit as good as i thought it would be. One thing to note is that Raimi has been very outspoken on the fact that Venom was a character he wasnt really interested in doing. And it kinda shows cause he's really reduced to a minor character. Hey it didnt bother me, as far as iam concerned. I love the old school spidey villians like Doc Ock, The Lizard, Electro etc.. Venom just never seemed to get the love Raimi gave to the Sandman.
One more thing....I know Raimi is a big fan of my reveiws, so ill say it here first....Raimi, babe, spidey 4!?..forget all that Carnage crap...Ben Kingsley as The Vulture......c'mon huh?

The second time around Spidey 3 wasnt as fullfilling as the first. I noticed a hell of alot more flaws. The ending is pretty bogged down with too many charaters. I still like spidey 3 a hell of alot but its not 4 1/2 star film, like i had previously given it. I blame the studio heads for this entertaining mess.

It was alright and I liked seeing a darker side to Peter Parker and his battle against that. I think they could have focussed more on like one villain though and this movie had 3.

Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 3 removes everything that made the first two films so likeable, and replaces it with an hour and a half of impassionate and tedious relationship dilemmas. The movie ties the audience to the end of a Parker-Watson love train and drags them from scene to scene. Tobey Maguire's acting or lack thereof, does little to express the troubles of a young man who carries the weight of an entire city on his shoulders. With other superhero films out such as Batman Begins (2005), which deals with heroism on a much darker and intriguing level, a polished love story with an irresponsible and immature main character cannot compete. Spider-Man 3 also falls low on its promise of great villains that will test the hero's abilities. Willem Dafoe brought gruesomeness to the Green Goblin, Alfred Molina brought dedication and determination to Doctor Octopus and Thomas Haden Church brings humanity and heartwarming benevolence to a one-dimensional and morally unclear CGI sand blob. Church's performance is however the highlight of this film. The Venom promised much and disappointed greatly with its disloyalty to the original Venom character, which had an outlandishly buff figure and a nightmarish face. Naturally, the slimy evil, which creates Venom, comes from outer space. Then there is Harry Osborn whom after two films is still unsure about Peter's loyalty. His New Goblin is disgraceful and ridicules the character and all other Spider-Man villains. Raimi negatively altered his storytelling style for this third installment and made this movie nothing more or less than a soap opera with a few incredibly gorgeous sand effects. What's more intriguing than this film, is the question as to whether Sam Raimi will now abandon this multi-billion dollar franchise, or create a fourth installment that will not only make the audience forget this disaster, but also remind them why they liked these films in the first place.

Holy crap was this movie terrible. I don't know where to start. If you ever feel the urge to watch this movie, do yourself a favor and drink some ipecac instead; you'll have a better time with that than you would watching this steaming pile of crap.

Peter's best friend, Harry Osborn seeks vengeance for his father's death to become his new arch-villain: New Goblin to leave him with short-term amnesia to recovers from his amnesia to help Spider-Man to battle Sandman & Venom. Spiderman's new villains Sandman (Thomas Haden Church) & Vemon (Topher Grace).

this was the bad one. There are two villians, one is kind of sad and gets most of the screen time, the other a little better but little screen time. I think the balance was off. Needed a little more work.

The third Spider-Man was set in a darker tone and is only a little better than the first one and is not so much a classic like the second one. There were some confusing moments in the movie and the fact that the supporting character weren't that strong to begin with.

Tobey Maguire and James Franco were amazing as usual, and the special effects were dynamite. My favourite parts were where Mary Jane gets bitch slapped by Parker and when Parker goes emo with the slick hair and eyeliner...like what the fuck? The only down side was that there was way too much going on for one film.

Toby Maguire continues to dieepaoint me as Spiderman. Other than that this a well made film with excellent effects and a plot that continues the resolution of Peter Parker's inner conflicts and his coming to terms with his powers and the resulting burdens.
