Best Spider-Man film yet. Sam Raimi is on a role and Tobey Maguire is Peter Parker personified. Alfred Molina is really great as scientific genius turned mad scientist Dr. Otto Octavius a.k.a. Dr. Octopus. The action sequences are amazing, especially the scenes on the speeding L-Train which are almost heart-stopping. And J.K. Simmons as J. Jonah Jameson has some pretty funny moments.
All around this is one of the best superhero films ever made!

This is a decent movie, but a little corny at times. Overall if you like comic book movies you will probualy find this movie enjoyable, but if you are expecting to be blown away, look else where.
Some impressive effects, it did remind somewhat of the Superman sequel, where he gives up his powers for Lois. I wasn't particularly impressed by the 'baddie' in this part, it didn't quite feel creative enough for a big superhero film, however, I do think the film was better than most critics had rated it to be.
Peter's idol is a brilliant scientist Otto Octavius (Alfred Molina). Otto Octavius becomes Spider-Man's new villain named Doctor Octopus. Mary Jane sees Peter without his mask on is actually Spider-Man.
The sequel to the first Spider-Man and the best on in the series. The plot was a huge improvement and the character development step up from the original by a strong margin. Tremendous job by both Alfred Molina and Toby Macguire.
A highlight of tis series has been the emphasis on the inner conflicts within Peter Parker as he comes to terms with his powers and the tough choices he has to make as result. The resulting hunman angle is very refreshing in a super hero movie and elevates Spider-Man to a higher level. But i hope he grows up soon :)
Yes a new challenge forspidey to save world from doc octopus i like this movie its action and its special effects are very much better than the previous one.
The movie that bridge the generation gaps between the 60s folks who loved the comic books and the new generation who loved the technological remake and special effects. The movie itself is a hot one in my list. Go watch it.
Spidey 2 was a better film than the first, but there were still aspects to it which bugged me. Alfred Molina was fantastic as Doc Octopus, and I really found him much more interesting than Toby Maguire's Spider-man. I think that this is the case in the other two Spider films, that the villains are actually more interesting than the Heros.
Another Spider-Man cliché movie. He saves children again. Silly!
Kirsten Dunst's character is awful. She is getting married, yet she wants Peter to kiss her? And later, she leaves her husband-to-be at the altar(!) because she wants to be with Peter? Why didn't she make up her mind BEFORE saying "yes" to marrying someone else? Annoying is what she is. Oh, and if you missed her annoying screaming from the first movie, don't worry, she'll of course be kidnapped. And in peril. Screaming... Anyone surprised? I'm not.
The "bad guy", Octopus, is just silly.
The "train" scene (where Spider-Man stops a speeding train) made me scream out loud. Can it get any more cliché than that? Hated it! So BAD!
After his massive sucess in 2002(i watched two times),The Amazing Spider-Man returns for another kick-ass ride and after seen this one,Spider-Man 2 is the best of all three(specially SM3).There´s no doubt that the entrance of Doctor Octopus gives a new fresh look to the movie.Alfred Molina was a great choice for the role and he stole the show just like the Green Goblin did in the first one.Tobey Maguire proves once again why is Spider-Man and Kirsten is more gorgeous in this one.Forget Spider-Man 3,ladies and gentleman.Spider-Man 2 is a hell of ride and the best superhero flick ever made alongside Superman and The Dark Knight.
Spider-Man 2 shows the development of Peter Parker in a way that makes us all want to choose to do good -- even over our own wishes. Good guys really do win in the end, and Spider-Man 2 also shows that good guys can also get the girl. Peter Parker makes you think that regular guys can do amazing things -- if they choose to be good and put others first. The is a first rate adventure.
Tobi is the perfect Peter Parker... naive, chump looking but he pulls off a good SM (maybe cuz his face is covered?)... and Kirsten... yeah, she is the best part of the movie...
Peter Parker begins to find the life of a super hero a rather thankless task, and increasingly stressed by his inability to balance work, school and fighting crime he decides to quit being Spiderman. Unfortunately he does not count on a scientific experiment going wrong that turns an altruistic genius into a mechanically enhanced megalomaniac! Spiderman builds on a fine original and delivers all it promised, and more. The action sequences are brilliantly done, and even more importantly, it intelligently fleshes out the characters with humour and depth. The way Peter has to confront the pros and cons of superherodom is really cleverly done, and it injects even more clever humour; in particular the scenes when Peter accidentally dyes his smalls with his spider suit and taking a lift when his powers fail him. It's witty, funny and exciting, and everything a superhero film should be. And once more I felt sorry for anyone having to share a scene with the brilliant J. K. Simmons! One of the best hero movies out there.
The best of the current Spider-Man films. Unlike part three this film doesn't feel bloated and rushed. While it's true that Doc Ock isn't really a great villian he is still a welcome addition. The action scenes in this film are absolutely incredible. Don't laugh at the plot though people remember it is a comic book movie.
