picturesque unfolding of a merely improbable plot. the fighting scenes of Mickey, the savurous dialogue ( gipsies idiome and ze germans among others) plus the unforgettable characters like Boris the blade make it a truly watchable movie
when Snatch's formula was first developing it was fun and exciting. I love Brad Pitt's character and the line by the American guy: "Have anything to declare?" 'Yah, don't go to london'!
I thought this movie was funny as hell and amazing. Everyone performed their roles expertly and flawlessly. The casting was perfect and the homour was undeniably great.
Fucking fun!
Lots of dead guys, lots of blood and pne 84 karat diamond.
And yet, accept from the great action scenes and excellent dialogues, and plot wasn't good enough. It was a look alike of at least a hundred other films. I mean, what is there anyway? bareknucle boxing, racial division and the brilliant Brad Pitt as a gypsy, there was noting that's actually sepecial about it.
And though, it was fun and did require a lot of thinking, which is goos sometimes.
Hilarious and entertaining... this film was way better than I had anticipated it to be. I was expecting a somewhat decent film, but I had no idea just how much I was going to enjoy it. My favorite Statham film to date... and of course, Pitt was awesome as always. Kickass film. ♥
Stylized action flicks don't get any better than this. The script is amazing and some of the characters are just brilliant. Top notch film making from Guy Richie who's easily become one of my new favourites.
Bouncing around in a world of bare-knuckle boxing, gypsy swindlers, pretend Jewish diamond merchants, indestructible Russian assassins and a thug who disposes of bodies by feeding them to hungry pigs, Snatch has enough plots for a fair-sized cemetery. This is a swift, sharp picture that pleases the senses on all levels, ranging from the visual to the aural, the linguistic, and yes even the intellectual. Writer-director Guy Ritchie might as well have added subtitles saying, 'Take that, Quentin Tarantino!'
fantastico! una serie di eventi concatenati che sfociano ognuno nell'altro a creare situazioni al limite del grottesco...e le battute di questo film nn sis cordano mai!
An incredible movie. Love this quick, smart and bloody masterpiece. The comedy in it is pure brilliance. Quicker which makes it better than Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.
I heard beforehand about the difficulty in understanding Pitt's speech. I picked right up on it and was one of the few in the theater who knew what had gone on. Great movie that gets better with repeat watchings.
Brilliant. Absolutly hilarious. Original and energetic. A rocking good time from beginging to end. One cool movie. Crime hasent been this much fun since Pulp Fiction. Teriffically addictive, slick and awsome. Director, Guy Ritchie brings on more fun and hard-edge to his syle of filmmaking. Packed with action, gut-busting laughs, excellent characters and a great soundtrack. The cast is fantastic. Jason Statham is teriffic. Dennis farina and Vinnie Jones are excellent. Brad Pitt is hilarious
Guy Ritchie us the ante in this one. It has an amazing cast. Del Toro is in pretty much an extended cameo. Statham is actually different in this movie. Farina is just blissfully obnoxious. The gangsters are all done well. Now to the two highlights. Vinnie Jones is again a badass motherfucker, killing a pretty much Rasputin like mobster. He is such a bad dude, why can't he get roles like this here? But the star is Brad Pitt as the Gypsy boxer who speaks such a ridiculous language. He puts in another solid performance. The story is yet another crime caper where everything sorts itself out in the end. A wonderful film.
My favorite Guy Ritchie film. It's the perfect entertainment package. Great characters played by great actors, fantastic story, awesome cinematography and vision, the list goes on.
