This is one of the most ridiculous movies I have ever seen, but it gets three stars because it was pretty entertaining. And who doesn't love the "I'm sick of these motherfucking snakes on this motherfucking plane" line.

MCT:September 29, 2008I was actually really surprised by this movie. Sure, I was one of those "LOL SOAP" people on 4chan months before the movie came out - and I never expected it to be good. But it was, surprisingly, not terrible. I was, however, a little put off by their portrayal of Hawaii (yeah, I live and grew up here), and the fact that although they mentioned snakes were not indigenous to Hawaii - they forgot to mention they're also, uh, you know, ILLEGAL.

MCT:September 29, 2008to be honest...i wanted to only see this movie for one true reason to hear sam jackson scream "i have had with theses mother fucking snakes on this mother fucking plane" thats all i cared about....but hey its a fun movie some cool moments and the cast was really cool the choices and shit... and hey also got what i wanted...you go see a movie called snakes on a plane...thats what ya pay to see! sam jackson kick some snake ass and it happening on a plane thats it so id say it was fun ride fully

MCT:September 25, 2008Ok so you got this guy who happens to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. He witnesses a murder by a triad mobster or something to that affect. Now input Sam Jackson, he's the FBI agent that has to protect said witness. Put 'em on a plane and what do you got? One heck of a movie. From the germaphobic rapper that closely resembles Jamie Fox, to the rich blonde woman that could pass for Paris Hilton (with the stupid little dog and everything). A couple awesome parts, snake comes out snags some poor lady's tounge and she starts foaming out of her eyes. I laughed. Another laughing moment was when I noticed that the same guy died more than once. Its like they didn't want to pay for more extras so they just said eh...you can die twice. All in all this movie was pretty good. I'd definitly watch it again. I thought it was gonna be stupid and then I got bored and turned it on. Watch it if you have a chance.

Well-made B-movie trash at it's best. It is ridiculous, but it's a lot of fun, and there's actually more elements of thriller here than comedy. Overhyped? Yeah, but lots of films are. Just shut up and enjoy. There are worse ways to spend 90 minutes of your life.

Thought i was going to hate this movie. I thought it was going to be ridiculious, tedious and a bit sickening. But i enjoyed it. It was ridiculious and it was at times tedious. I wish they would stop making these kinds of movies. But i enjoyed it all the same. So its worth a watch, but please Ellis, never again. Cant believe the great Samuel L. Jackson signed up for this one either.

Funny, can't be taken seriously or it will mess it up.

MCT:September 7, 2008This movie was strange. It had a plot that reminds you mostly of a thriller, but the movie itself reminded me mostly of horror. The two genres did not go together in this movie; to me they collided all the time. There are a lot of open ends to this movie. It all seemed a quickly thrown-together movie that relied mostly on the fact that Samuel L. Jackson played a role for success. For an intentional horror/thriller movie, it is bad that I laughed hard various times - especially when the chiuaua was thrown to the huge anaconda (which also happened to have rather fake teeth). Hahahaha, man I laughed.

A bit of a queer fish this one. a little too much effort has been put in to make this entertainingly bad. its just falls limply into the bad but with sam jackson category. some nice snake fx and related deaths. takes a while to warm up and runs out of steam a little too quickly.

Ya know?..it was okay - if you're in the mood for camp - though for me an actual old campy 70s film would serve better ...but? I think this accomplished what it set out to do and it was enjoyable enough...If it didn't have my Samuel L. J. in it I don't know if I would have enjoyed QUITE as much. His part in this made the difference for me.
For me as these type of movies go - for my money? I think the movie "Slither" did this better. -

Snakes on a Plane has had mixed reviews. By looking at some other reviews, it seems either people loved it or they hated it. I have been looking forward to seeing Snakes on a Plane for awhile, and finally got to sit down and watch it. It was exactly what I expected - it was far fetched, predictable and I really enjoyed it! Samuel L. Jackson, as always is good, and its always a pleasure to see Bobby Carnavale (although I wished he had a bigger part). I liked Snakes on a Plane, it was a fun movie.

This movie is great!! when it came out people were dogging it. Once i saw it on DVD i felt in love with it. The movie will sure give you a fear of snakes. Before watching this movie, I wasn't scare of snakes but I am now. Yeah I do agree that samuel Jackson protrayes the bad ass guy type that he plays in every movie. Besides that the movie was good.

brings back memories of the old movie "Snakes on a Train." Never saw that one either, they both looked hopelessly pathetic, especially on the plane, since they never even mentioned in the media that it was based on the one about a train. Both seem like a complete waste of time and money, unless u have those free rentals at blockbuster, hollywood video, or any other video store (online or physical). At which point, it's just a waste of time. You're welcome to have your own opinions about this movie, as I am sure this will be enjoyable to at least one group of individuals. The music video of "Bring It" for this film was good, but i wouldn't watch the movie based on the video.
