MCT:November 17, 2008Don't let the title fool you, this is an excellent movie. I love how Verhoeven mixes gruesome violence with satire in his movies. I was also surprised how fresh it still looked after 20 years.

In the not-too-distant-future, a newly transfered Detroit police officer called Alex Murphy is remade into an indestructable cybernetic cop after being dismembered by a gang of thugs in an abandoned warehouse. Reborn as Robocop he is programed to serve and protect the citizens of Detroit and eliminate the rampant crime in the city streets so that a massive city-wide reconstruction project can get underway. But once he has completed his task, he sets his sites on the corruption inside Securities Concepts Inc. - the corporation that created him.
Ladies and gentleman,i give to you one of the greatest action sci fi flicks of all time.Robocop is pure entertainement,very intense, full of action and lots of bloods.Paul Verhoven is a genius on introducing the story of the invencible cyborg cop that thrill us since 1987.Peter Weller is the real personification of Robocop and we can see it in his amazing perfomance.Yeah, it´s preety violent and not a family film but Robocop is already a masterpiece.Don´t compare it with The Terminator because they are very different.
Besides and after 21 years later,Robocop still kicks ass as one of the greatest classics of science fiction -

MCT:October 26, 2008I watched Robocop under the notion that its esteem meant it was an actual good movie, but it's really just crappy and cliched and tired. I guess I was twenty years too late hopping on this boat.
AND GOD, FREAKING NANCY ALLEN. She is the most annoying woman in the world. I'm so glad her career crashed and burned.

A brilliant example of 80s action movies. The men are men, the women are topless and the guns never need reloading. The action movies of today need to grow some balls.
