This one has one the greatest soundtracks I ever saw (heard) in a movie! The story and the pictures are pretty intense, but the music just grabs you into it...

Its a shock movie and thats about it. There is really no deeper meaning to it, its just a bunch of people who's lives get fucked up by drugs and you see it in extreme detail. However, if you are looking for a shock movie, this is the movie for you! It is definitely the most intense film I've ever seen. And the song is really cool.

This is the best anti-drug film I have seen. I had a hard time watching this film the first time I saw it, but that's because it was effective. I understand how someone could be annoyed greatly by the editing, but I respect it a lot. I don't think you'll ever see another good Marlon Wayans performance, so you might want to check this out.

The thing I love most about this film is that it's not scared as so many films with a similar theme are. This one is not; it's not scared to make us feel things most films are - no one watches a movie to feel shattered and disturbed. But when you do it's hard to forget and watching this movie was one of the most devastating and beautiful experiences I've had watching a film.
It's the type that's all heart - but a heart that has been pulled out and kicked around the floor for 90 minutes - but that's what's so endearing about it, and it was almost impossible to peel my eyes from the screen. The acting is superb, and draws you into the reality. And there are some moments of stunning cinematography - it is by no means flawless. But with an ending sequence such as the one this has, it it impossible not to remember it.

This movie was horrible to watch. I usually am not shocked easily but this movie was painful to watch as it keeps on running but it was o greatly directed and acted and all i couldn't put less than full stars. It's really a curel reality. I cried a lot, sooo tragic. Jared Leto ahhh <3

a damn good movie, great editing, one of my favorites but didnt influence me in the slightest on the whole drug use prevention front. thats a choice you have to make and if your gonna watch this film just to convince yourself not to try drugs then dont watch it. thats not the point of this movie. this movie is a peephole into the lives of people who are victims of circumstance, lacking the will power to overcome said circumstance and consequently attaining their just rewards. watch it because its edgy and because it is a masterpiece of modern cinema not because you think its an anti-drug propoganda campaign.

This has to be one of my favorite movies of all time. It is so real and something everyone should see before they die. Everything about Requiem for a Dream is amazing from the acting to the soundtrack to the direction, I love it. It is one of those movies that you see once and can't stop thinking about.

    I loved this movie,
I loved every part of this movie!
I think that its so realistic and it got to the point, and it got a message across, Yes I dont think 12 year olds should be watching something like this, but maybe they should. Maybe they should see what drugs do to people. Yes it doesnt happen to all people, but it a wake up call.
Besides every actor in this movie is great, Especailly Jared Leto!

this movie is like a miniature of life. everything runs fast, you watch them push off a million times, then you see sara goldfarb and her addiction to pills, swallowing them in groups... it really grips on to the pit of your stomach and flips it araound in the air... anyone who sees it, who really sees it must have been touched by it. everybody there is humiliated and their lives are ruined... and they never saw it coming...
    real life, real life.
    you pity them all
    you say i'm so lucky
you feel like a horrible person for wanting more with your life
and you just want to kill yourself
this film rocked my world, it shocked and amazed me. i haven't felt anything near what i felt with this movie abt any other movie. masterpiece. a big applause for the creator.
masterpiece indeed... even the direction just swirls you down. beautiful.

Movies are created to evoke emotions when watched. Anyone who watches this movie feels what the director wants you to feel. Wheather you're heavily familiar with the characters or ghastly disgusted with them, you feel something. And that is exactly what director Darren Aronofsky set out to do. Hate this movie or Love this movie; give it 4+ for a job-well-done!
