Plot: A seductive teen befriends an introverted high school student and schemes her way into the lives of her wealthy family.
Brilliantly entertaining.. The story was phenomenal & very smart. In one of the beginning scenes when ivy ( Drew Barrymore ) is swinging & Coop is describing Ivy in her journal is breath-taking... Drew Barrymores' performance as Ivy in this film is amazing...
If you haven't seen this movie, you need to... NOW.
This is definitely a guilty pleasure type of movie.
It's a little hokey in parts (especially the soap opera music) but the sexual tension is believable enough, which is what's really important for a femme fatale film. It's got all the other important elements too: lots of rain, booze, red accents. They all check out. There are other parts, though, that aren't quite as believable, or believable at all for that matter.
Drew Barrymore plays quite the saucy little minx. And Sara Girlbert is equally as good as the self-conscious geek girl.
Watched it but I don't see Leonardo DiCarprio in this film. Probably one of the kids running around who they didn't show, lol.
This is the only Drew Barrymore movie I enjoy. She proves that she can act and that she was once very attractive as she plays the psychopathic tart that destroys a family with her manipulation and seduction.
I've seen this movie a few times in parts. Never sat through the whole thing. It wasn't very exciting. Drew's Character is very wicked and deceiving.
