FANTASTIC Story line, True to original story of the ride at Disney...with a few added twists, like the pirates turn to skeletons when in the moonlight. Awesome SFX!!

The start of a great movie series know doubt about that. when this movie was first anounced people were like, "Are you freakin serious you'r actually going to make a movie about an amusement ride?" The end result surprised everyone and the movie became a surprise sleeper hit. If you liked this see the sequel which you most likely have.

MCT:August 24, 2008this film is too long it doesnt cut to the chase ,who cares about all the other stuff we only want to see the fighting and captain jack . plus in the cinema i needed the toilet and just after i went(missing some of the film) there was an intermission . i paid nearly £5 for a not so good film .but some parts were ok

This movie was alright, i guess. there were some parts which were just a waist of film if you ask me. some other parts made no sence & were to long!!! but it was a good movie over all.

much better than the sequels. the Introduction of Jack shows how Dark his character really is w/o all the added humor to cover it up. plenty of scenes dispayed action, but the drama, intensity, and subtle comedy made it an excellent movie to watc

Who doesnt love Pirates of the Carribean? Its my favorite and with Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom and Kira Knightly + all the great action, how can you resist it?

It looks like it was made just for him. I have wanted to see this movie for a long time and I am not disapointed. Now I can't wait to see the other 2.

Finally I see this movie! It's quite good! I wasn't interested in pirates in the first place, but I forced myself to watch it. Hurray for that! I was wondering why the world young world was thrilling about these movies, now I now why! It's so brilliantly written and acted! Great story! Gonna watch the second tomorrow, can't wait!

Not what I went into it expecting, but it was a welcome surprise. A fun film that keeps me entertained every single time I watch it. Also responsible for my crush on Keira Knightley, so I owe it that much.

Great series, story line. Everything awesome. The actors/actresses who were casted into this movie, played there part brilliantly! Love this movie! Never can get enough.
