One of the best silent films I have ever seen (not that I have seen a lot). Louise Brooks is one of the most captivating screen presence's of all time. She is not only beautiful, but the performance she gives is way beyond her time. Considering she doesn't have any lines to deal with, its quite a feat to watch. The cinematography is gorgeous (the use of smoke is really nice) and the final act is amazing. It's a film that stands the test of time.

Amazing film. Louise Brooks is just mesmerising, my eyes were fixed on her the whole time. Has a great moody, sexual atmosphere throughout. Overall a must see of the silent era.

Damn it. I really liked the first hour or so but then I fell asleep because of the late hour and my exhaustion.

I don't know if it that the movie is great or that Louise Brooks is great. Fortunately, that's not a call I have to make.

One of the best silent films I've ever seen. The story was so scandalous for the time period it was made in. It's got alittle bit of everything prostitution, murder, deceit, lesbians, and Jack the ripper.
