An okay flick that has a fun plot, few decent visual effects and some laughs. Eva Longoria Parker and Paul Rudd deliver terrific performances but the performance of Lake Bell is lifeless and lacking.

It's hard to imagine that Eva Longoria could find a worse script than Desperate Housewives! This movie is a rather ordinary comedy, even the director appears to acknowledge this by throwing in stupid things into the background in scenes regularly which are far funnier than the main story. Having said that it's not a boring movie and I did pause it for a potty stop!!

The movie was alright. I didn't see it right away because of all the bad reviews. But it was better than expected. Lake Bell made the movie though, not Eva or Jason. Looking to see more from Lake

What do you get when you mix a romantic comedy with ghosts and psychics, the result a corny movie with a predictable story. Over her dead movie is a movie about Henry (Paul Rudd), a devastated groom because his fiancêe dies on their wedding day. Reluctantly agrees to consult a psychic named Ashley at the urging of his sister Chloe. Despite his skepticism over her psychic abilities, Henry finds himself falling hard for Ashley, and vice versa. But there is a big snag. Ashley is being haunted by Kate's ghost, who considers it her heavenly duty to break up Henry and Ashley's fledgling romance, if it is the last thing she does on this earthly plane. The film is the typical chick flick, except for one or two funny moments, the movie is kinda dull. The cast is good.Eva Longoria makes a good performance, Jason Biggs was funny convincing enough as a guy pretending to be gay. Paul Rudd was a little weak and flat, and Lake Bell looks cute but her acting wasn't strong enough. In conclusion, I think that if you want to see this movie, you'll better wait for it until its released on DVD.

I actually got this one just for the women. That's right. Eva Longoria. I'd be happy to watch anything she's in. And Lake Bell. She's got kind of a man-face. Killer body though. There was actually some good homor in it in parts. I just find love stories disgusting.

This reminded me of Ghost with Eva Longoria's character Kate haunting the psychic Ashley. Funny in places but overall it seemed like more of a chick-flick than a comedy - could have done without Jason Biggs character too, there was just no point to his role.
Not Bad overall though. -

OMG THIS MOVIE IS SOOOOOO SWEET BUT I HAVE TO ADMIT THAT I WAS ON KATE'S SIDE IN THE BEGINNING..BUT THEN I KINDA GOT MAD WHEN ASHLEY GOT MARRIED 2 HENRY.....:( I WANTED HIM TO BE WITH KATE.....I THINK IT'S SAD THAT KATE DIES FORM AN (ANGEL) LOL

MCT:July 16, 2008Fresh idea, couple of good laughs, but overall highly predictable and highly boring. The only things that kept me from not watching this was cuz of Biggs and Sloane. Sloane is getting hotter and funnier than ever, and Biggs acts alot like me. Everyone else were such drags including Longoria. She should stick to Desperate Housewives cuz nothing else she was worked on been any good.

Over Her Dead Body is an alright movie. Eva Longoria just doesn't have enough star power to make the film work, no offense to those who love her, she just belongs on the small screen over the silver screen. Just with some re-writing and proper attention, this film could have been better, but instead we get the average predictable romantic comedy that will leave with with an empty feeling.

I didn't particulary want to see this one nor did I care for the premise of the movie, but I saw it anyway.
I'm glad I gave it a chance because I shared the same sense of humor as the screenwriter and laughed a lot. -
