MCT:November 10, 2008This movie was so great, I could feel everyones emotion's throught the whole film. I could not emagine what I would have done having been in her shoes. This is one you whatch over and over and never get tired of.

This is based on the Biblical story of Esther, the queen of Persia. Esther is a Hebrew girl who was raised by his uncle, Mordacai. His uncle served as a scribe in the palace of the Persian royalty. At that time, Persia?s ruler is Prince Xerxes, the young king of the already expanding Persian empire. Persia already has its queen, but because the present queen opposed Xerxes? campaign to the east, the young king?s magistrates think it best to execute the queen and look for a new one. Hence, all the young women of Persia were rounded up, including the young Esther. Fearing for Esther?s life, and because of the fact that they are Hebrews in a Persian kingdom, Mordecai to hide her real identity and pretend to be a Persian woman. In the palace, the head of the Harem, began his choosing of the prospective queen. All of them were eager to be queen except for Esther, which aroused the interest of the eunuch leader. Each candidate gets to spend one night with the king. When it was Esther?s turn, the king was interested in her more than the other women, because Esther dressed herself in the simplest dress she can manage, with only a single jewelry she has, a necklace given her by her late father, which is the only evidence of her being a Hebrew. Also while the other girls openly showed their interest to becoming queen, Esther prefers that this first and only night with the king be remembered with the stories of love told by her ancestors. Thus, the king has chosen his queen. As Esther played the dutiful queen, the king?s magistrates devised a plan to destroy Mordecai as he tries to get into the matters of the state. Upon knowing that Mordecai is Hebrew, the king?s enemies sought to have all Hebrews killed. Only Esther can save them. But she must tell Xerxes who she really is, which could mean her death. Thus on the wake of the Hebrew execution. Esther went into the knees of Xerxes and pleaded that her people be spared. Xerxes, instead of having Esther executed, pardoned her because foe him, she is not only his queen but his wife, his love.

i just love this movie.... easther is one of the great woman at old testament...this is really one of the best love story with the king..... wow.. its like the cinderella cartoon..... hehheheh how i wish that would be me... lol....

I love this movie. One of the best movie I ever seem in my life. I love king!! The queen play her part well. Anyone who never seem this movie is missing out, when u watch it you will be hooked on it.Great story line!!!

Awesome Monvie !! The story of Esther is wonderful. I didnt mind the two errors in the movie. I enjoyed it very much. Are there any Esther's today with that FAITH

i love it if you havent seen it you should god is great to her its such a privilige to be choosen out of all of those girls to die for your pple and be willing to at least to take a risk of it kinda like god did died for us

This movie is so Awesome, passionate, and it open's your eyes, what you don't believe you will believe, remember God can do the impossibble. For nothing is impossibble through God. You have to watch the mnovie to see what I am talking about!

This movie was amazing and the story of esther is one of my favorites from the Bible. I truly feel that they expressed the story very well.
