MCT:November 14, 2008Great movie. It was bit slow at the beginning but when they showed her with the student things started getting really good. I can't believe that old lady though, she tried to make the women choose her over her kids, I'm like wtf is wrong with her. Ending was fucked up, I hate what that old bitch did.

Remarkable film really. I not a fan of Dame Judi, but she was good in this film. I am thinking though that might be because of Kate Blanchett's performance was outstanding. What a good actress she is. I don't think that she made her character anymore likeable, but you can have a better understanding of the character.

I just read the book and the film matches the tone and atmosphere to perfection. I even thought some of the choices in the film worked better than in the book. Judy Dench is fantastic.

I really didnt get this movie. It was quite...strange.
I know it wasn't supposed to be one you enjoyed, but i just thought it was really weird!
I really wanted to see it, but was very disappointed with the end result.
It moved way too fast, and the boy was so blunt. I know, i know, he was only 15, but still!! And the whole Judi Dench bein a lesbian, soo weird. yuck!
It also made me feel a tad sick, the age difference and everything. And the whole acting when the hubby found out. I was expecting him to go absolutely crazy, but he was just like 'He's 15, if your guna cheat on me make him be older' i was like huh?! i duno, just really didnt like it...posted 510 days ago -
