The special may be sad, but it's different. Other than the other "happy" Christmas specials being released, this was far different for Christmas specials. It takes on a different theme than others also. Though Rankin/Bass does like to kill characters off in some of them. *cough* Drummer Boy, Frosty cough* This special would have been better if it was longer. But it's enough to cheer about.
