There was no point whatsoever to having Naomi Watts' character in the story. She served no purpose other than to appeal to a slightly wider audience. Geoffrey Rush's part could easily have been played by a different actor. Bit of a waste having those two great actors in such small parts. Other than that it was pretty good.

Good story acted well by Heath Ledger and the other supporting cast. Naomi Watts was also good but was not a key point to the story,therefore she could have easily been taken out.

A good movie. Heath Ledger MHRIP acted amazingly, as did Geoffrey Rush. Aussie actors rock...pity about Orlando Bloom

After minute :
surely a boring realistic history movie . But , with casts such as Orly , Heath Ledger , Naomi Watts , Geoffrey Rush and some others , this movie has a "soul"THE REVIEW
Another Heath performance . Such a historic movie , served in boring proportion . Ned Kelly itself was not a real protagonist , and Heath lived him up . Ned is something you wouldn't miss if you're a Heath Ledger fan ,it's like another Heath rising point and he looked very very charismatic here , bad guy with charisma . Along with Orlando Bloom , these actors will be your eye-candies in a boring historical story .
The movie itself just very serious and dimmed dark but with low-tension , so it's not as good as what-do-you think . But , it's a lot more better than educational movie .
Talking about Naomi Watts , her acting really similar to Michelle William's in Brokeback Mountain ,with blonde hair and that way of speaking , she looked so natural . I can't say anything about Geofrrey Rush , i watched it a long time ago , and i didn't pay attention to his acting .
Script :
Did they copy the history fully ? The words just very real . But , not yet unique , it's like reading words from educational book .

Another Heath-fever plus Orly (who didn't look so great) . Ned Kelly is another dark , serious , historical BORING movie which you still wanna' watch it until the end.
