Enjoyable movie for a lazy Sunday afternoon. I didn't see it in the theaters fearing it was going to be a let down sequel, but surprisingly enough it was entertaining enough.
Plot: Treasure hunter Benjamin Franklin Gates (Cage) looks to discover the truth behind the assassination of Abraham Lincoln, by uncovering the mystery within the 18 pages missing from assassin John Wilkes Booth's diary..
The acting was as superb as the first (Nicolas Cage and Justin Bartha are amazing). It was very believable..Helen Mirren is an excellent addition to the cast..
The action scenes are excellent and full of invigorating suspense.. visually stunning..i would recommend anyone who would like a good crime/action/adventure flick with good acting with lovable and believable characters..
I find Nicolas Cage is a lot more tolerable if you don't have to look at him or hear him. I took a nap for the entirety of this movie and found it pretty enjoyable.
I really like these type of films. ITs great imagination from the writers to involve all thes historic things around a tresure hunt. Dont think it is as good as 1st but it definately worth watching.
I really enjoyed this movie, the storyline was easy to follow and the characters were great. Wouldn't say it was better than part 1, probably about the same...both good movies :)
Following the same route as the origianl film, this sequel following Nicolas Cage's treasure hunter sticks to the same formula of action, laughs and adventure. Helen Mirren is terrific as Cage's mum and Justin Bartha is on hand again to provide some laughs. The plot is a little confusing, if a little far fetched but this is still a fun filled film.
Great sequel. The scene was fantastic. Though I didn't understand the real meaning behind the meeting of Abigail and Wilkinson. Because of that meeting, Wilkinson learned about the treasure, however, besides that I really didn't see other reasons why they would meet. I didn't like Abigail's character in this one. She was very annoying.
I found the President's book quiet amusing. ^^ Ben sure have crazy ideas.
Enjoyable enough flick, but the 'treasure found' was less believable than the first. Ed Harris was wasted with the small role he had in this film. The chemistry and humor from the first National Treasure didn't transfer to this sequel. Worth a watch but a let down from the first.
Not that great really. A weak opening scene and not grabbing enough. I just wanted to turn it off, but stayed in the hope that it would get better. It did begin to get so much better when "the book" came into the picture. After that it was a great movie. It had a very dissappointing start. Good cast.
