"Midshipman Edward 'Ned' Young: Fletcher, I'm proud to be with you.
Fletcher Christian: Well you've done rather well, Ned. Promoted to the rank of criminal. Not even 20 and a death sentence on your head."

Many have criticized Brando's portrayal of Christian, and I simply do not understand this.
Did we see the same film?
This is one of his best performance.
But also Trevor Howard is terrific playing the role of the Capt. William Bligh.

    The story is beautiful.
After the hardship of a horrendous voyage to the island, the romance and humor of the Tahitian sequence was a welcome relief.
It's a long movie but you'll never have the sensation of being sit on your couch.

Watching this is pure pleasure. Marlon Brando and Trevor Howard are fantastic. It's very nicely shot and done. A classic that isn't likely to sink in the grades.

    Awesome.
I've never seen such colours and such beautyshots of a ship before! This is pure pleasure and it does not feel like it lasts three whole hours. Marlon Brando is superb!
And how I miss those technicolor days..

"The Bounty leaves Portsmouth in 1787. Its destination: to sail to Tahiti and load bread-fruit. "

What would be the point of fruit that tastes like bread?

A masterpiece of cinematic presentation. Not only well shot but extremely well acted with the all-time icon Brando and legendary actor Richard Harris. Worth multiple viewings.
