I like Michelle Monaghan and Patrick Dempsey so I thought despite some negative opinions that I would enjoy this movie. The best I can say is that it is watchable.
Romantic comedies tend to be pretty much the same nowadays but with likeable characters and good dialogue they can be very enjoyable. The dialogue is not very good and as likeable as the characters were at times, I didn't really care about them getting together.
I also didn't buy his relationship with his male friends and watching them play basketball while quizzing him on MoH scenarios and helping him put together baskets for the shower. Maybe somewhere in the world guys do that but they definitely don't do it like that.
27 Dresses had a lot better chemistry and a lot more laughs.
Man oh man...what to say. This was ok...just ok! I'm about really tired of these movies. The Cast was really good, patrick dempsey still knows how to turn on the Charm, very cute. The Story was so so but in the end I was entertained and it was all honky dory! Would I wanna see it again? NO
this was a pretty good movie but the guy always ends up with the girl.....couldnt we ever have a different outcome?
I'm sorry, but I believe that the only reason this movie recieved any attention at all was because "McDreamy" was in it. I liked the idea of a male maid of honor in love with the bride at first, but while watching the movie the plot quickly began to feel forced. I just think that a more talented script writer could have brought a lot more out of the scenes. Plus the Scottish guy? What.the.fuck? THat man is ugly, I am sorry. It had to be said.
Cool movie, Glad to see Patrick is coming into his own, was not a fan during his younger years, but I throughally enjoyed this movie.
it was great but typical feel good movie... there were some twists and it was what expected it to be which i liked, lol.. really nice and worth the time :)
even though this was predictable from the word go, it was really cute and happy, and im glad i saw it =]
Not a bad film. It felt like Dempsey was going back to his Can't Buy Me Love days of romantic comedies.
Loved this even though it was predictable it was one of the funnier rom coms of late. Even the guys will like it!
Usual stuff: He loves her, she does not know, she falls in love with another guy, he freaks out, he makes a plan to tell her that he loves her at her wedding, she realizes she loves him too, they run away together, and they live happily ever after!!
Typical movie... predictable in many ways. Dialog was above average though as was the acting. Not alot in this for guys.
Sharp performances by Patrick Dempsey and Michelle Monaghan can't save this forgettable, formulaic chick flick from its comic failings.
It was good for what it was although I was expecting something a little different. Very cute romantic with gorgeous shots of Scotland included.
It's like My Best Friend's Wedding with a different gender version between the best friends. Heaps of hilarious and very romantic between the best relationship of Patrick Dempsey and sexy Michelle Monaghan.
I always like the "best friends become boyfriend girlfriend" thing, and Made Of Honor did a really good job on this one. Patrick Dempsey looks pretty much the doctor from Grey's Anatomy haha, but Michelle Monaghan really gave her best.
Sweet and well tolled story about a guy that finally found out something more than ordinary about his best and old college friend
Enjoyed it - especially the beautiful views of Scotland. Cutesy movie - good way to kill an hour and a half...
Boy meets girl, boy hates girl, boy and girl become close friends and then boy realizes that he loves girl when girl is about to get married to guy she just met.
Average romantic comedy that offers nothing new to the genre. Follows the formula step by step but, despite all that I really enjoyed it just because I wanted to see these two character's together.
It
s got some funny bits but the plot is extremely thin and even more unrealistic. Its also a typical romantic comedy that outlines a typical message.
Very nice movie. A very good example of how beautiful it is to be able to be yourself and have friends who accept you and all your faults, without pretending like they don't see them...or like they don't matter. Instead, they show you how much they love you by calling you on the carpet with honesty and truth.
THOSE people, you really don't want to EVER lose. And when you realize that...
(sighing and smiling) Would marriage become something to consider when/if I thought/realized that I could lose THAT someone in my own life? Hmmm. Interesting take....for the procrastinator to consider. :o)
Ugh! I was so disappointed with this movie and I really wasn't expecting much either. Meaning I already thought it was going to be drab & I was right. It's totally My Best Friends Wedding minus the sing-a-long and Julia Roberts. It was really predictable and at times irritating. I usually like chick flicks, but didn't like this one. The funniest part of this movie was the grandma w/the glow in the dark anal beads around her neck. LoL. Other than that I wasn't jumping for joy.
i went and saw this in theaters with some of my good friends. It was kinda cute and funny, but also kinda weird.
It is a good romantic comedy film. The film was funny and entertaining from the beginning to the end of the film
I believe it is safe to say rom-com has standardized itself. This rom-com like many others have the same story. Boy meets girl, they hate each other, tolerate each other, lose each other, then make amends. There is really no point in seeing this film. Everything else in the film was average. Nothing stands out and the story is typical.
