MCT:August 29, 2008I liked this movie. It made me cry. But that's not why I liked it. Great acting, great story. I didn't quite like the creature CGI (The Mummy mouth? C'mon.) but ignoring that, this movie rocked.

So much meaning in this movie you can't get any better. But it could've been better in many respects. Meaning-wise absolute stunner of a movie.

Really a great movie and the soundtrack was composed by James Newton Howard, my favorite. Of all the end of the world movies (that I have seen) this would be one of the best.

Will Smith is definitely not Charleton Heston in The Omega Man. A throw back theme with new actors and a similar plot. A must see for Will Smith fans.

This is round 3. The first movie (and the best) starred Vincent Price, and next one starred Charlton Heston. Each version has gotten exponentially worse.

You can't go wrong with Will Smith he's the man! This as a movie about a man living in solitude after a miracle cure for cancer actually turns out to be worse than the disease it treats. The new virus kills off the majority of civilization while leaving a small of percentage of imune humans to populate a world were the rest of the living beings and animals are ferocious zombi/vampire like creatures. All that makes for one cool flick. The one thing eye can't quite grasp is the decision to have the creatures being CG. Eye mean sure they can do acrobatic feats that regular humans can't do but yet the end result is a bit cheesey. As a matter of fact the film is a lot more teeth chatteringly scarey when you don't see the creatures ala the scene were Samantha Robert Nevile's K-9 companion goes into a dark warehouse chasing after a deer. But after that initial fight scene the rest of the film goes into a more action oriented state were it sadly loses most of the fear factor. And about the action eye can't help but feel that it was inspired by books with similar themes to this movie. Example: the scene with the two helicopters crashing into each other seems straight out of Max Brook's World War Z,(also an upcoming movie can't wait!!!), and the scene were Robert blows up these C-4 rigged cars is straight out of Stephen King's Cell even the after effect is the same in the movie the wall were they are standing behind implodes in. But thats not a bad thing in fact eyev'e always wanted to have them incorporated in a film like this. But the end result makes them feel unoriginal. But hay most people don't even like reading like eye so for them it was like, "whoa eyev'e never seen that before!". Conclusion this is a fantastic thriller that adds to will Smith's coolness.

another brilliant performance by Will Smith,for me his acting as good as his in the pursuit of happyness,he proof that he can manage all kind of genre,drama,comedy,thriller,action,u named it.Though the story was not make any sense at all but at least they explained what caused all of the messed.overall still a great movie for me..

Years after a plague kills most of humanity and transforms the rest, the sole survivor in New York City struggles valiantly to find a cure. This horror movie was alright, although it could of been made better than it turned out to be. Great acting by Will Smith. Great CGI graphics for the cretures. Great action scenes involved in this film like the part when he blows up the cretures near to the end of the film. Some scary parts to this film like hen his dog runs of into the building not knowing that it is full of cretures. A bit of a dissapointment for me but it was still good.

It was a good film. Will smith did a good job and it was quite creepy! One things for certain, will smith is damn hot and a brilliant actor.

Finally I have picked up a good movie from the video store. It's a good thriller having you sitting on the edge of your seat. It is a bit scary no doubt about that. Not for the faint hearted. Will Smith's acting is superb, The special effects and the story are believ'able. Also the director should be credited for doing a fine job. However, I wished the dog survived. Overall It a great film for the type of movie that it portrayal's.

because they are not vampires, there meant to be mutated humans, albino, there also meant to be coherent & talk & a lot of other things, but the scriptwriter decided to totally change the story (it even has a happy ending & a different meaning to the film title) a terrible film, the best & most accurate version is "the last man on earth" with Vincent price in if anyone wants to know)

I just did a quiz about the movie and whoever made it didn't really know much about the movie. They didn't know his name was Robert Neville they said Robert Norfil or something and they called Willow Smith (who plays Marley Neville) a boy...now that's embarrassing. I wish people would actually read up on the movies there about to do quizes on.
