MCT:July 2, 2008I'm a big LoTR fan, and now I find myself rooting for this tough guy who kicks elves butts...is it worth the price of admission? Well, it has a lot of action, it's made by the guy who made Pan's Labryinth (no complaints there), and it's gonna keep me awake, so yes!

A beautifully rendered adventure fantasy film with strong, interesting characters. If you felt horribly burned by Crystal Skull (and who didn't?) check this out to see it done right. This is pretty much "Raiders of the Lost Ark" filtered through the "Pan's Labyrinth" lens. Guillermo Del Toro, a filmmaker of pure heart, continues his push towards the top of my directors list.

If you enjoyed the Oscar nominated "Pan's Labyrinth"... you'll enjoy this fantasy film - if only for director Guillermo Del Toro's incredible creative vision. But also, this film tops the first installment by 100-percent. The characters are far more richly defined and fully developed... and the plot line more intricate and has interesting surprises. Hellboy himself - played by Ron Perlman is the perfect anti-superhero. A reluctant hero who enjoys drinking beer, smoking cigars and craves paparazzi publicity. The film is funny, exciting and huge improvement over the first film. Worth the time and money to see on the big screen.

oh my god!!!! i'm so excited to see this movie. i loved the first one and i am absolutely delighted that they are making a second one!!!!! and hopefully abe will be in the movie a lot more because is the most amazing character of them all!
