Plot: Hamlet, Prince of Denmark, finds out that his uncle Claudius killed his father to obtain the throne, and plans revenge.
Just the thought of Helena Bonham Carter as "Ophelia" is enough to turn me on...
Shakespeare to screen perfection. Mel is surperb!
mel gibson is a little old and he loses his accent a little but is still solid
prefer this version over Olivier's.
A cheap copy/remake -- Kenneth Branaugh did a much better job with more TLC
Where did Zeffirelli go wrong? Gibson is very very very poorly cast. And you should never mess with the text.
