Stvarno izvrstan film... Na pocetku mi nista nije bilo jasno, nisam ni znala o cemu se zapravo radi a onda je radnja postajala sve zanimljiva. Totalno zaboravis da je to sve zapravo gluma... Odlicno

Imagine you could pretend to be someone else by taking their face and altering your body. That's the premise behind this film and is done very well. Both Cage and Travolta play the good guy/ bad guy roles well.

Possibly the greatest, and definitely the most exuberant, action film to come out of the studio system in the '90s!"Face Off" is a mega-movie capable of moments of rare cinematic perfection!

John Woo knows his action, and this is one movie where the action really seems to fit the story (Windtalkers... no, sorry).
I though Nic Cage was great, and it was nice to see Gina Gershon doing something, and the story was farfetched but original enough. Everything really felt new, even the high tech prison scenes.
The only real reason this movie loses any points to me is because I don't like Travolta that much, and he did a great job just, I don't know, didn't feel right in some places.
Still, great action that doesn't let up, can't go wrong.

John Travolta again at his craziest. And Nicholas Cage actually plays a good villian to...for a short time, then he got to revert back to his stoic self. But this movie was awesome.

face off is an awesome action packed movie about a cop named sean archer who gets revenge by capturing the one man castor troy who accidentally killed his son. yrs later archer captured troy in a hangout at a airport during a violent shootout. as they captured castor, they also caught his brother during the process & found something in his brief case containing information bout a bomb they planted in a building. there is only one prob, archer doesnt know which building it is. now the only way archer can find out that info, he must become castor & find the bomb before its too late. this movie had a ton nonstop action sequences including shootouts, chasing, & explosions throughout. the acting was great from everyone including the main stars of the movie which r john travolta & nicolas cage. it has alot of bad language so dont be suprised when u watch this film. john woo did excellent job with the gunfight scenes & set pieces. i really enjoyed this film & i'm sure everyone else will feel the same way too. this is also a very entertaining action flick so u wont be bored one bit while watching it. overall i recommend this movie for action junkies only nothing more, face off is a rocket, 4 1/2 stars.

Decent original actionfilm with John Travolta and Nicolas Cage both showing their versatility as actors within the same movie. (first good guy, then bad guy and vice versa)

The concept has lots of potential. After that idea wears off, though, it's an okay film. The action is passable with a few fun sections.

    FACE/OFF (1997)
    directed by John Woo
starring John Travolta, Nicolas Cage, Joan Allen

    Quick review

«I want to take his face... off. Eyes, nose, skin, teeth. It's coming off.»

Face/Off has to be one of the coolest action picture of the 90's. With John Woo, Travolta and Cage all at the top of their games. Its stylish without forgetting about the characters psychology and filled with great action scenes. Both lead are enjoying themselves very much, giving strong performances. Very entertaining.

I dunno. I just couldn't get into this movie.

Maybe I've watched it too late.

But I just didn't really care, and I can't get over how ridiculous it is that they traded faces.

I do love that the brothers names are Castor and Pollux like Greek mythology though.

Mayb I should finish watching it....

Completely ridiculous, but amazingly entertaining. John Travolta and Nicolas are both deliciously over-the-top, and the action sequences are hilariously overblown, yet crazy cool...

This is by far probably my favourite Nicholas Cage and John Travolta movie. They just rock the show together. And I love both characters, bad and good and it shows here that they both can play those two areas well. Since Travolta was originally the good guy and then switching places with Cage, becomes the bad guy. Same with Cage. It kind of gets confusing when you talk about it like that. Great movie anyhow!

It was about as good as I expected it to be. They both are good bad guys. But if you start watching in the middle of the movie you'll probably be confused

Quite an action movie. I really dig the concept of the personalities switching, and each actor playing the other. It's really fun to watch. This is easily Woo's best American movie. The action scenes are great with the typical two gun wielding, diving through glass and doors, and slow mo shots of doves. An entertaining movie all around.

    The idea.. totally ridiculous

But when you have John Travolta and Nicholas Cage and they both are magnificant with some great action scenes, it kind of makes up for it..

omg this movie is insane, the action scenes are ridiculous, and the ending boat chase scene is unreal. Kudos to John Woo you have always left me excited after your movies, but this is your best by far
