Plot: Based on the humorous 1994 novel by John Birmingham, HE DIED WITH A FELAFEL IN HIS HAND is just as quirky as its name suggests. Set in various parts of Australia's east coast, the film stars Noah Tayl...( read more read more... )or as Danny, a 30-something-year-old wanderer drifting through life one town, girlfriend, and job at a time. Danny's wild experiences in each location form stories unto themselves, and also add up to a larger whole. Dead roommate, pagans, skinheads, overdue rent, a suicidal bisexual female friend, and Nick Cave songs are a part of the lead characters' life as he drifts from place to place reluctant to settle down. Advise you to set your level of humor to "absurd" and guaranteed you'll enjoy. One of the highlights to watching this film is the looks your friends might give when you recommend the title.

    Review tbc.

Totally strange, quirky and so profound...we find a philosopher in the body of a misfit who seems to be a nomad more than anything else and all he wants is to find a home where he belongs it seems.

In a way it was solid, and in another way it was pointless. I had fun with it in the begginning but then quickly lost interest as it went on. In the end... just so so at best.
