God help me, it made me laugh. Since I'm so unbearably depressed, I can't totally trash any movie that provides me with a modicum of merriment. Even if the movie's highlight is Bob Saget repeatedly yelling an expletive several dozen times.

MCT:August 9, 2008Ok, they really tried hard to make this a decent prequel to "Dumb & Dumber" (that happens to be my favorite comedy of all time), you can tell that the main actors (Eric Christian Olsen & Derek Richardson) really has studied the way Jim Carrey/Jeff Daniels acts in the original movie and the comedy is in the same vein. But this movie is just a big miss, the storyline is weak, the characters are over-the-top stupid and annoying and the jokes are just not delivered in the perfect way they were in the original movie. Instead of watching this, you should watch the original movie again...

One of the funniest movies in the history of cinema followed up by one of the biggest voids of humor in the history of comedy. I'd rather sit thru an entire career's worth of Dane Cook's stand-up routine than ever again have to sit thru this torturous pile of doodoo balls.

loved the storyline and i think its the best film they've done.
Derek Richardson is an amazing charicter for funnyness and done a very good job in this film. loved it and so funny! -

If you like dumb and dumber, then you have to see this. If not, it's only worth seeing to see Bob Sagat's bathroom smeared with crap.

MCT:April 27, 2008This was fantastic.. And it didn't ruin the whole 'Dumb and Dumber' style. These two actos play the younger versions of them and really portrayed them well!. I mean it was almost believable that they are the younger versions. Brilliant actors and humor.

ermn not seen all of this movie yet but ive seen half of it...this is ok i guess but the original is so much better than this movie...its got some ok comedy scenes throughout the movie its got a good chemistry between the 2 actos who play harry n lloyd in this movie..this is nowhere near as awsome as the original movie but its ok id guess

Not bad comedy. Don't even come close to the first one but Derek Richardson and Eric Olsen are pretty convicing as Harry & Lloyd. Look out for Transformers star, Shia Labeouf stealing the show.

OK, where do i start? If you was a huge fan of 'Dumb and Dumber' then i advise you to stay clear from this. If you liked the original, and is just interested in what the prequel contains, then don't go into this viewing with high hopes. To sum up this film is one word, i would use 'bad'. Just plain bad. The main problem with this film is the jokes. There is a story but only a very basic story, and the jokes are focused on innuendos, which sounds as if they were written by 12 year old's. Although some of us might have been 12 when the original film came out, we would definitely not be 12 now. Innuendos jokes just does not make a film good, especially when the innuendos jokes aren't even that good. The acting is OK. There impersonations of Harry and Lloyd are not exactly perfect, but they do a good job. The rest of the cast are OK. Seeing Eugene Levy and Cheri Oteri in a scene together, did actually make me chuckle a little, but Eugene Levy should have known better to pick a role like this. There are the few other good appearances from stars such as Shia LaBeouf, Mimi Rogers and Lin Shaye. Still, if i was you, i would only watch it for the performance of a specific actor.

Man what a bad movie, even the cover is bad!! They completly destroyed dumb and dumber, (that is by the way the funniest film ever made) Anyhow, the worst part of the movie was from the starting credits all the way to the ending credits
i dont think anyone liked this movie
p.s. nobody can imitate jim carrey
