August Rush is a terrific movie. Freddie Highmore is one of the most young talents ive seen in years. This movie, although being very depressing, was a great watch. I cried in the end but could there be another?! I loved it until it ended, so definitly watch it. It deserves an A

MCT:November 20, 2008I could say Freddie Highmore was trying TOO hard as the kid whos pulling the strings. Rhys Meyers and Russell, on the other hand, doesn't share the same chemistry, and its better off if they stay away from each other. Oh, and Robin Williams failed to cook up an image of a villain.

Really nice movie. I liked how music was like that whole point of life in this movie. I thought it was so sad when he was so close to his parents and didn't even know it was them. The ending was great. Really beautiful movie.

the way that the music make the whole fusion in this story is amazing, the music is great and a very important matter on this film!
Is filled with passion, drama and happiness as well!
Nice actors, original story!

Listen you dont have to like the movie but dont ruin it for everyone else!
i personally LOVED this movie. JRM was hot, i love freddie highmore and keri russell was incredible! not to mention the story! it was so amazing! i didnt cry but i was shaking for a good 10 minutes after the credits were over!
and to those unbelievers:
would you say that oliver twist was a(and i quote) "sentimental, syrupy, puke filled drivel" because in case you were wondering all august rush is and was is a remake of oliver twist!posted 179 days ago -

It was awful! What a sentimental, syrupy, puke filled drivel this was. Even it's knowledge of music instruments was below any IQ.
I'm sorry, there is certain sentimentality i can take, but spilling my guts out in the aisle says it all. This film was more gruesome than any other horror film i saw that year. Forget idiots who go in to see Saw 3 and have the St. John's Ambulence come to their aid, this is good reason to reach for the defibrillator.posted 181 days ago -

I totally love this movie. This is by far the most amazing and cute movie I have seen. It’s a really good family movie. I can’t usually get into movies but this one involves music. The movie soundtrack is lovely, I’m going to get the sound track as soon as possible. I recommend this movie to anyone who loves music. I also seen my art in the movie, the violin that evolving into a tree, it represents life in music.

This is my new favorite movie!!!! I have been waiting for it to come out for almost two months and now i cant find it anywhere! oh well ill find it eventually!
