Pan's Labyrinth (El Laberinto del Fauno) (2006, R)
This movie is an absolute must see. It's visually stunning to look at with terrific sets. The direction is superb with a dark and gritty look that contrasts well with the fantasy world. Also it has a raw human emotion that is compelling to watch and can be extremely graphic at times. All in all this is a movie that has to be seen to be believed. |

Little Miss Sunshine (2006, R)
Dramatic and very funny at the same time, I really enjoyed this original and entertaining movie. The cast were brilliant and worked well together and made a very believeable family. It's Abigal Breslin who is the star of this show and she is backed up brilliantly by Toni Collette and Steve Carrell in particular. Although it looses steam a little towards the end, this movie will defiantly add some sunshine into your life. |

Tristram Shandy: A Cock and Bull Story (2005, R)
Featuring a great cast consisting of a who's who's of British talent, this film can be a bit disjointed at times and does take a while to get going but stick with it as there's lots here to enjoy. There is hardly a plot to speak of and most of the film is a mockumentary but with this much talent you have to take a look. |
