I barely recall it, but my mom and dad watched it every year. I think it's a love story.

My dad loved sci-fi, but as a kid, I was like, "Where's the ray guns and stuff?" So I found this pretty boring. Maybe now that I'm a boring adult I might want to watch this. Who knows, I might like it.

This one pushed me over the edge every time he watched it. He would crank it up with our massive 32 speaker sound system (more speaker boxes per square foot than furniture), and the whole house would vibrate as the movie hummed. I hated this movie and I won't give it the same chance that I might Close Encounters.

I'm so old skool I still think this is #1. I can't stand it when my son asks me which Star Wars I like best and he won't accept my answer "Star Wars" without asking which number. AAAARRRGGGGHHH!
Of course I love this movie and hold no fondness for the last 3. They all try too hard. My dad liked them though, but for the sake of this list I'll just put this one down to cover them all.

I own this movie, on VHS, and watch it about once a year. Cool space cop movie. You might by now be thinking that my dad kinda liked sci-fi, huh?

This movie cracked my dad up. The funniest scene is Max snaps off a peice of Prof. Fates frozen moustache. I still like watching this one.

Best sci-fi horror movie ever. I remember watching this with my parents friends over and all their kids. All the kids were laying on the floor and my dog stepped on the back of my leg. I screamed as any 9 year old boy would and it set off a chain reaction and everybody screamed. Good times!

A powerful and profound score. If you buy the cd, read the inset about how the score was made. It's so dang epic!

Great movie! Tells an entire story in 3 sentences of dialogue. Who needs talking anyway when you've got swords and 60 foot snakes.

Silverado (1985,  PG-13)
Silverado 4.5 Stars
This has been my most favorite western ever since my dad first watched it with me. This movie should be noted for it's greatness if only for the fact that it's the only movie that Kevin Cossner ever actually acted in.
