haha! humour, action, touching, EXCELLENT soundtrack. great cast, gets you into the git of sword-fighting. it doesn't emphasize much on the whole superhero theme of it, rather it deals with coping with internal struggles and fighting your way to keep yourself sane and help everyone at the same time. it's fun watching how antonio goes from a silly ragged old thief to a compassionate, diplomatic gentleman. haha i love those scenes. antonio and jones REEKS of sensuality. :}

loved the soundtrack. visual-wise, this movie is eye candy galore. lots of abstract art and flourishing with colours. i wish i had more eyes. story-wise, it's written by gaimen. what more can i say. philosophical and psychological themes completely laced throughout the script. valentine's so bloody adorable, and the best part is helena isn't some stupid lost girl who has no idea what's going on half the time. she's actually smart and is good at linking clues. that's bloody refreshing, to have an unpredictable ending. recommended for dreamers, artists, and fans of abstract imagery.

gorgeousness. *sucks on tim burton's toe*. didn't quite digest ricci's performance though.

another huge part of my childhood. the message in this movie appears to be growing out of childhoodness, but by the end of the show, you realise a part of you still stays as you grow. enough yak. bowie sizzles as the goblin king (it's that damn makeup). sarah's a dumb mutt; you'd think practicality should be left behind in a fantasy world you've never been to. love the limitless varieties of sets, with henson's characters at his best. it's a fun movie. fairies are mozzies.

heart-twisting. dramatic. lots of action. mel gibson is wearing shorts under the kilt. but the war scenes make up for it. excellent soundtrack.

it's not a documentary, and penguins should not be eaten. breathtaking cinematography (i cried when i saw the aurora), unusual but very easily absorbed emotional effect with the whole story. save for the storyline, this movie is a piece of art all on its own and imo should be appreciated wholesomely as that because its survival and tragedy scenes are commonly anticipated enough..

i think everyone or anyone who watches the movie would have different perceptions on whether it was horrifying, disturbing, artistic, or none of them at all. it connects to possibly someone who has probably been through or is in touch with their darkest selves; the visual imageries probably might have given the watcher an insight of how their "demons" would look like, and in turn make it either a pleasurable watch or a highly disturbing one, depending on their own psyche interpreting what they see. the movie has stirred up ideas of how my darkest platforms might look like. i wanted more though.

the movie makes me wanna jump off a cliff and into a sampan. and make my way to batam. ok well no. i love pocahontas. strong, flying character. i'd love to give credits to the soundtrack tho- alan menken. excellent old english and native american fuses. beautiful music. i think it was the music that earned majority of those stars. watching kiko and the dog fighting all the time was really funny. lol.

melancholic, dark and strange. quietly hypnotic. i love the movie but i'm not giving it a full five stars cos somehow i feel cheated out of a purely sensed movie and a perhaps overrated cult.

not good enough for me. expected more intensity but it was all flair and less substance. didn't like how they exploited the whole "mystery of being a geisha" and then showed how days of hardcomings (which is not much i think i've seen worse) commits to the irony of their status and labels it off over and over again as some sorta "mystery". loved michelle yeo's acting though. you could see ziyi's trying her best with the english dialogue but maybe it takes away most of the character of her as the geisha. nice cine, story's dipping below ok, but watchable.

nah. hated the storyline, the boobs, and the predictability. it's so flustered with hollywood written all over it i'm not sure you'd even enjoy the whole aspect of horror movies. hated the script too..

uhm... i'm not sure where to start with this, but here's my two cents; this movie is a definite no-brainer. the only cognitive signal that's gonna get through your head will barely go as far as a buzz. but maybe that's why i love watching it. it's so Bloody simple. napoleon would probably appear to be the dumbest thing you'd ever come across, and the comedy in this movie come off as blatantly stupid, but that's the whole ding about it; no tragic storylines, no life-changing topics, no drugs, no blood, no car chases, no complicating twists, no petty romance or corny humour that tries too hard to add a punchline to everything. so if you're expecting all that sorta stuff, there's a high chance that watching this movie will drive you completely Retarded. otherwise, if you'd like to enjoy a stroll through a life off an oddball living through a basic life throwing oranges at people, going stagnant with the goofiest look known to mankind, talks funny, has strange artistic tendencies, then here you have it. loved the ad-libbings and character developments. everyone's so adorably plain. everything's just straight-forward and back to basics. i'd recommend this watch only if you're as braindead enough to give it a shot. (i love his shoes.)

wow.... . the movie starts out dreamy before putting you right smack in the middle of an everyday line of gourmet restaurant chaos from nearly every point of view covered; arrogant/flirting/mobster/cop/critic/relaxing customers, the chefs, waiters and boss all amidst this in equal, comfortable, well-scripted proportions, all housed in a bustle of popular cuisine and a comfortable hangout restaurant ~well-Fused~ with a variety of mafia-inspiring vibes, sarcastic customer service relations, an array of classes, a bartender with an encyclopedia for a brain, struggling artists, in-btwn-break scandals, pathological issues, and a quiet, creeping climax that completely throws you off and mildly contradicts the whole nature of the show. to succeed in seaming all these together deserves the rating. charmingly quirky, dark, and stimulating to watch.

most would give this film a nod to its references in art, culture and its fight within politics but hidden beneath it lies a disturbing pathological upbringing of siblings conditioned to be together. interesting look into the lines of intimacy and friendship between siblings predestined into soulmates.

i've loved the story ever since i started reading the version by rosalind miles.. the movie's okay. it's not horrible but not fantastic, just the good ol' medievel movie. i should learn not to anticipate movies :/ it's a nice tragic love story for the sentimental ones out there.

It was so drama! My god. It's not bad though, but uh.. I don't know, I'm having mixed thoughts on this. There wasn't a consistency to things, villian character buildups seem to be thrown in just for good measure and for comic sake, and to top it all off... Dunst has a terrible lipsync. Terrible. I winced every second of her doing it. Geez they could at least get a voice that sounds more convincingly like hers. Anyway, the movie's more heartwrenching than the previous two, more emotional issues scattered bloody everywhere, and the CGI, although good, was a tad too unbelievable at times. Sandman turning into sandman was gorgeous though. I think the movie had it going but failed to tie everything in place, given the magnitude of events happening simultaneously. It's not terrible though, so catch it if you'd like to be kept in the loop with mr spidey's plot ongoings. Sloppy, but can keep a stoney-popcorn-movie moment. Soundtrack was excellent! :D I like. In fact, I think it played the key role in soothing out all the emotional aspects of the movie...

There's little direction in the questioning of this Death character development, but then again I don't feel he's in topic of this movie at all; just playing the part of the waves carrying a ship of meanings to shore. No hollywood fantasy mumbo jumbo here, just a delicately laced love story pulled through and over life, the core of human emotions, its consequences and facing the end of it, tinged with the platform of class. Beautiful script, unique front, the little bits of literary humours, backed by Gabriel Yared's beautiful compositions... I just simply love the flow. There are so *many* lines in this movie I probably won't forget. Was a little edgy with Pitt's acting but I think he managed it otherwise. A little distracting, but.. yeah. LOL. I love "the discovery of peanut butter" scene, he was quite adorable with the whole PB obsession lol! :p somewhere.. over the rainbow...

One of the most interesting movies with the most strangest ending I had ever seen. You MUST catch this if you haven't. Unique story with an edge of contemporary fantasy, a very dark psychological theme driven in all manner of poetry laced in between, excellent cast, great camera shots, and a gorgeous soundtrack. A masterpiece, like everyone else has said --- Highly recommended movie. I'm off to hunt for the book.

Five stars for the music. Not too fond of the direction they were taking the theme and story into. Rather overrated.
