so far as i am concerned, this is THE version of pride and prejudice. certainly the most thorough and historically acurate.

officialy one of the best movies ever made. AWESOME cast, the story is clever, the dialogue is witty and sometimes touching. you root for the characters, and at the time, the movie was fairly revolutionary.

obsession. revenge. pain. these three themes command this classic tragedy transported into the modern-day. we all know the story, but you've never seen it like this. leonardo dicaprio as romeo forces you to feel what he feels, and benvolio and mercutio nearly pop off the screen. shakespeare himself would be proud of this production, each element of the movie is welded expertly into place.

fire and ice struggle together in confederate south. all the horror of the civil war burns and tears two constant love triangles: two women love one man, and two men love one woman. Scarlet's fiery determination clashes constantly with Rhett Butler's cold indifference. they are two self-centered people each used to getting their way, and each being confronted by the unyeilding other. love and hate swirl together on the canvas of a torn country.

beauty in every image and sound. a young girl sold to a geisha house as a child is a servant to "mother" and hatsumomo, the egotistical geisha of the house. when one day she meets a man who s kind to her, she sees being a geisha as a stepping stone. she prays that she will see him and...and become a geisha. this intoxicating study of humanity, love, and 1930s japan is a moving must see.

the height of drama, this story of love and loss was written by Pulitzer Prize winner Tennessee Williams. it's a lesson in the paramount importance of honesty and communication within families.

this classic tale is convincing and engaing, but it's Aidan Gillen's expertly acted portrayal of the arrogant and obsessive villian Carver Doone that makes this a must see.

glitzy, hilarious, and all around awesome adaptation of one of the best books ever. plus, u get a young ian mckellan, and the most beautiful woman ever to live (jane seymour)!
