Ewan McGregor mini-bio: McGregor was born in Crieff, Scotland, and attended Kirkcaldy College in 1988 to study drama, appearing in the Tron Theatre in Glasgow in the end of term show. McGregor's first leading role came in Shallow Grave, and his major international breakthrough soon followed with the role of heroin addict Mark Renton in Trainspotting. McGregor has been featured as the male romantic lead in Hollywood films such as Moulin Rouge and Down With Love, and in the British film Little Voice. He took on the role of a younger Obi-Wan Kenobi in the Star Wars prequel trilogy, originally made famous by Sir Alec Guinness in the original Star Wars films.

omg i love you ewan!!! you were so awesome in mulin rouge! i saw it once and watched millions of times after. i went ot and bought it and memorized the songs, even made a CD out of them. you're an amazing actor, please add me as a friend

Ewan McGregor is such a cool actor! I've seen Moulin Rouge at least 3 times and hope to see it more. Such a great singer! And he did an excellent job with Big Fish. I haven't seen it in a while, but I remember it being amazing. He was believable in Star Wars. I have to watch Black Hawk Down again. I didn't realize he was in it.

A man with range and a face that can convey a thousand emotions. Cast as a young Obi Wan Kenobi was truely a fitting nod to Sir Alec Guinness, his role in "A Life Less Ordinary" was striking, and who could forget the amazing performance in "Moulin Rouge"
